It turns out to be Sunset Shimmer, who headed back to Canterlot due to the human world's Canterlot High School being on school holiday, and Twilight and Starlight are happy to see Sunset again. When the concert is finally completed, Twilight says she might find something for this as her friend cheers Twilight up and somepony arrives. Upon their arrival, Twilight, Spike, and Starlight head to the throne room to see Princess Celestia, Luna, and Cadance as Twilight shows them her plans and asks them to reposition the sun and moon for the concert performance, Celestia, however, tells Twilight that each of the princesses' magic serves a purpose and that, as the Princess of Friendship, she already has all the magic she needs to make the festival a success. Twilight, Spike, Starlight, Pinkie, Applejack, Rainbow, Fluttershy, and Starlight's friend Trixie Lulamoon as well as the Cutie Mark Crusaders are now ready to take the train to Canterlot. Fluttershy tells Discord to take care of the Castle of Friendship while Twilight and her friends go to the festival. Three days later, the festival in Canterlot is about to begin, and Twilight sends a message to Princess Celestia and Princess Luna about the plan for the festival, which they accept. Later, Twilight, Spike, and Starlight go to check up their friends, who are excited for the festival, and Twilight has a plan for the event. Starlight arrives to tell Twilight that the Friendship Festival will be started in three days, before Twilight notices the popular pop star Songbird Serenade is going to appear on Canterlot for the festival, and everypony is going to the celebration.
The story begins with the Princess of Friendship, Twilight Sparkle, narrating about her history of friendship and adventures with Spike, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy and Starlight Glimmer (using reanimated flashbacks from the first seven seasons), though there will be something big the next day.Īfter the events of Shadow Play, Twilight Sparkle is thinking about something new since the Pillars of Old Equestria have been freed for a thousand years. The Magical Edition was written by Official-PSASD, Stephenfisher2001 and Trevor807 (as co-writer), who sought to create a new version of the film.
